Three boxes, one road

Every box is a painted panel with the guardian eye where it closes. Ten sticks inside, each wearing the band to match.

The long five minutes.

Half the subcontinent takes a sutta break — five minutes outside, one cigarette, the day’s real conversations. Suttara keeps the pause and swaps the stick: same shape, burning while the chai goes cold and the paperback goes slack.

The boxes speak truck: phool patti, kohl eyes, garlands and bulbs, drawn in the painters’ own language as an homage, never a copy. The hour around them stays quiet.
